Noddy was the creation of Enid Blyton many moons ago and I inherited the nickname at school as a corruption of an existing family nickname.
The cartoon series continues today on Channel 5 TV in the UK and on PBS.
The official website for all the Toytown characters is available here.
Mr Plod is as well known as Noddy over here and it all seemed too irresistible for me as the theme for my blog!
