Cold Turkey

As Victor Meldrew would say, "I don't believe it!"

Last time I looked the press were bleating about prisons being awash with drugs and inmates running away from open prisons to avoid taking drugs, but now it appears the poor souls cannot get their hands on their daily fix and the government are to pay out to avoid being sued for infringing their human rights. Will they disclose how much has been paid out?

Feel free to comment!

Nearly £4000 on average each. 3 of the 197 still can't decide wheter this is enough. I hope the solicitors are happy with themselves. Then again when the prisoners are next arrested, it's more money for them. Not that the £4000 will pay for them as they'll all claim legal aid, as they will have already blown their £4000 on heroin. I wonder how many of the 197 have actually managed to stay off heroin since being released and turned their life away from crime?

Remember Crime Doesn't Pay.

Think of all the extra PC's that the £750,000 being given out to these junkies could put on the streets.

Then again the Home Office would only allocate the money for more PCSO's.
