Part of why we're not on the Street

Stats from Strathclyde - I don't suppose anywhere else is any different. Read the full article here.

Complaints 2001 to 2005

  • 5,190 complaints
  • 111,708 hours of investigation
  • 35 court cases
  • Three prosecutions
  • 74% unsubstantiated or no proceedings
  • No public prosecutions i.e. no-one nicked for wasting our bleedin' time!

I don't know if you're going to see this what with it being so far back but as to the public prosecutions thing, I never understand that. Why when you have the villains who call the cops because they've been wronged and then refused to co-operate why aren't they done for wasting Police time?

It's annoying especially since I'm the mug that has to send them a letter saying how sorry we are they've been a victim of crime

What's more annoying is the one's and two's and three's etc. that you know come from strangers to the truth merely wishing to cause trouble!
